Our social compliance policy covers our work with all our employees, customers, suppliers and all other stakeholders; transparency, ethics, respect for the environment, people and human rights at every stage of the service we provide and all our activities within this scope.
Our goal is to make the social compliance policy a corporate culture throughout the organization. Within the scope of this policy, KAYMET Metal undertakes to create products and services as well as granting its employees all their rights arising from the standards within the framework of the law, complying with and enforcing occupational health and safety rules, being sensitive to the environment and nature, and creating a respectful and honest communication environment among employees without discrimination based on language, religion, race, gender, political views, etc.
In line with this policy, employees are encouraged to freely express their concerns, opinions, requests, and suggestions without fear of judgment or retaliation. No individual will be penalized for sharing ideas, feedback, or complaints. Suggestions deemed appropriate are evaluated by senior management, and improvements are implemented in all areas open to development.
The Social Compliance Policy covers the following components:
1. Forced Labor (Voluntary Labor)
Our company does not engage in forced labor under any circumstances. All employment practices are based on voluntary participation. If an employee chooses to leave their position, the company cannot prevent or delay their departure, except for security-related reasons. Additionally, all employee information is protected and retained in accordance with legal regulations.
2. Child Labor (Underage Workers)
Child labor is strictly prohibited in our company under any circumstances. Except for mandatory programs such as internships and apprenticeships, the minimum working age is determined in accordance with national and international laws.
3. Discrimination (Egalitarian Approach)
Our company values all of its employees and their contributions. It has a deep-rooted commitment to opposing discrimination and ensuring equal opportunities. As management, we are determined to maintain our organization as an institution free of discrimination or physical or verbal harassment based on race, gender, color, nationality, social origin, religion, age, disability, political view or any value status protected by applicable laws. Our company ensures the creation and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace environment. All occupational health and safety regulations mandated by legal requirements are strictly implemented in our company.
7. Engagement with Society and Stakeholders
Our company undertakes to establish a good faith relationship with its stakeholders by listening to their views, learning from their views and taking their views into consideration. In this context, it establishes an environment where employees can discuss their problems with the representatives by determining employee representatives in accordance with the legal regulations and allows them to submit their problems in writing to the suggestion boxes. It undertakes to establish a dialogue with its stakeholders on workplace rights issues related to the workplace and within its sphere of influence when appropriate.
8. Employment of Foreign Workers (Employment of Foreign Workers)
Employment contracts for foreign employees who are employed/will be employed in our business in accordance with our laws are drawn up in a language they understand. All employee procedures from the start of employment to the termination process are carried out in accordance with the current legal regulations. Under no circumstances can workers be employed by being indebted. Our business protects the legal rights of foreign workers regarding employment. Our company does not employ unauthorized or undocumented workers.
9. Rest Days and Holidays
Our employees are not deprived of rest and holiday days within the framework of their legal rights.
10. Recruitment and Employment
The open positions needed by our business management are determined and employment is carried out by the company management in accordance with the law and within the framework of certain rules (egalitarian approach, leave, wage, holiday, employment contract, etc.).
11. Employment Contract (Employer Contracts)
An “Indefinite Term Employment Contract” is prepared between our company and the person to be employed, which is in compliance with the workplace and the laws and includes the conditions offered to the candidate personnel. The personnel who accept to start the job are asked to sign an “Indefinite Term Employment Contract”. A copy of the employment contract is given to the employee in return for signature, and all the rules and regulations required by our company and the job are conveyed to the relevant employee through orientation training.
12. Work and Worker Discipline
To maintain a structured and disciplined work environment, our company enforces disciplinary rules established by the disciplinary board. Wage reductions can never be applied as a disciplinary measure. All employees are expected to adhere to workplace regulations and guidelines while carrying out their responsibilities.
13. Environmental Protection
We manage the environmental impacts that may arise from all our activities with a sense of responsibility. We determine and implement all kinds of improvement and development studies that will eliminate or minimize environmental impacts in all our activities and use natural resources in the most efficient way. All principles included in this policy document are put into practice with the necessary regulations and the level of implementation is monitored by the relevant units.
